Tween Fun at the Denver Selfie Museum | Denver, Colorado Tween Photographer

Tween Session at Denver Selfie Museum_0010.jpg

Hey friends! I haven’t blogged new content since January, which is the longest I’ve ever gone since I’ve been in the business without blogging. I’m sure I’m not the only one that has been completely thrown off course in 2020, which I now affectionately call the year of the dumpster fire. The year started off strong for us in January and February, and like all of you by about mid March everything came to a screeching halt and then I dived into the world of remote learning, not running my business at all, and trying to keep myself and the entire household sane. Things were going decent until I broke my ankle trying to scooter with the girls and social distance. I will save that story for my next blog post, haha….

One of the things I said I was going to do while we are in this weird “safer at home” phase, is to share some of my work that I haven’t had the chance to share from the busy fall season of 2019 and the beginning of 2020. One of my favorite experiences this year was exploring the Denver Selfie Museum with my girl K and our friend H. It is hard to come up with fun ways to celebrate tween birthdays these days - especially in January, so when I kept hearing about the Denver Selfie Museum I knew that’s where I wanted to take them to celebrate. It is the perfect place for a Best Friends Session.

We took advantage of almost every background in the museum, and almost all of them were super fun, had different options for posing and some set ups had ring lights to help you achieve the best lighting possible. Now that businesses are starting to open back up, I do know the Denver Selfie Museum is back open with enhanced safety measures for people to visit safely. I haven’t checked it out myself, but if you want something fun and different to do, I would for sure check it out.

Ya’ll, I loved this colorful cassette tapes background but these girls did not know what cassette tapes even were. They just knew they wanted to pose in front of them, haha!

I don't know about you, but I think my favorite set was the donut set, because well, who doesn’t love a good donut now and then. And really, most of us are likely stress eating a lot of donuts right now to cope with all these new normals we are experiencing. Oh, and today is National Donut Day, so you should have a couple of extra donuts today to celebrate!

I know I’m not the only one that comes up with great ideas that I never get around to doing, but this year I’m glad we made this happen. Both of these tweens completed their elementary school career and didn’t get all the normal celebrations they were excited for, so I’m happy we were able to give them a Best Friends Session they were able to remember!
