Celebrating Senior Year Part III | Smoky Hill High School Senior Photographer
So this is Part III of my Celebrating Senior Year series and I'm definitely ending it with a bang by writing about Ms. J! J came my way by a very special connection, her Aunt Patty! But this is the crazy thing ya'll, Aunt Patty doesn't even live here in the Denver area. Aunt Patty lives up in Seattle and was visiting her niece and a host of nieces and nephews ....and, Aunt Patty and I used to work together but we hadn't seen each other since my wedding in 2005! Aunt Patty and I agreed to get together for lunch at her nieces' house. Her niece treated Aunt Patty and I to the nicest lunch and really made me feel like family! I brought these huge photo books of my girls for Aunt Patty to see and we started talking about how I was now a Photographer, instead of a Health Administrator. Well J and her mom happened to be looking for a senior photographer, since she would be graduating from Smoky Hill High School (a family tradition) the next spring!
Fast forward a couple of months and J and her mom came over to my house, met my family and it felt like I had known them all of my life! I learned so much about J and as we were trying to set a date for her shoot, I was exhausted just listening to all of the activities she was involved in and passionate about! From mission trips with her church, to field hockey, to the Make-a-Wish program at her school, to working part-time, this girl does it all; and does it all with a smile on her face! She is a breath of fresh air, and we had such a good time together at her session - it was like a party. And you know I like a good party! So without further ado, let's raise a glass to Ms. J as she earns that high school diploma this week!
I love that I was able to get these special photos of J and her mom. Their relationship is amazing and so full of warmth and admiration!
Love this Smoky Hill High School, school pride going on right here! And...this may be the cutest letterman jacket, I've ever seen. Almost makes me want to go back to high school to get one of those; well, not really, but it's super cute!
I just can't get over this smile!!! It is the best! One last thing before I sign off, this beauty is headed to CSU in the Fall. Wish her all the best! <3 <3 <3
