Since today is Friday, it is the perfect day for a Flashback Friday as I am moving content over from my old blog to my new blog. I wrote this blog post almost exactly 6 years ago, and it’s hard to believe we have been in the Denver area for 6 years now. Enjoy this reflection from 2014.

May was a crazy month for my family as we were wrapping up almost 4 years of life in Indianapolis to start again in the South Suburbs of Denver, CO.  I knew I wouldn't have time for too much in addition to the packing, end of school programs, trying to say goodbye to everyone; but I did want to make time to get a few family sessions in for friends since the weather had magically turned nice!

One of the families that it was important for me to photograph was the Fishbacks.  They are so special to us, because Markena is one of the first friends I met after we moved here, she has been one of my closest friends over the last few years, and her daughter has been one of my 5 year old's closest friends.  We have also spent major holidays with their extended family and we feel so privileged to have gotten the opportunity to share those memories with them.

So in turn, it was an absolute privilege to photograph them, and they were my very last family to photograph, as we were literally packing everything up to leave the state.  Well, the movers did most of the packing; but you get the picture.  We had to re-schedule the shoot, because we moved up our move date, and then the weather looked like it was not going to cooperate.  Well, as you can see below, everything worked out beautifully.  Enjoy some of my favorite images from this session!  Fishbacks, we love you!!!

This little man is their newest addition, and the last time I photographed them, he was in Mommy's tummy!  He did awesome during the session and gave us some great laughs!

Each one of these siblings has their own special personality, and you can probably see from these photos why big sister and my 5 year old get along so well...these girls have so much personality!!!

In fact, the whole family knows how to have fun; and we may or may not have had a dance party during the session courtesy of music on our smart phones!

We had to have some bloopers, little brother hitting big brother with a phone, and a complete melt down photo.  No session is quite complete without these shots

Ya'll, this lady is the ultimate wife, mother, and a woman of God.  I'm so proud to call her a friend. Beauty on the inside and out.

I'm advocating blowing 1 of these, or all of these family photos up. Go big or go home with these lovely family pics!!!
