Mt Falcon East Sunset Family Photo Session

Here we are again at Mt Falcon East with a different family (the Morrells) and a different time of year (late fall); but still sunset. This location may not be as green as it was in the previous Mt Falcon East blog post, but it is still gorgeous and the day we photographed there was a pretty cloud cover that gave us this soft, diffused light. I had never experienced that type of lighting before at Mt Falcon East, but we embraced it!

I met mom maybe 7 or 8 years ago through a Tri-athlon training group we were both in. When we moved to our new neighborhood about 6 years ago lo and behold I ran into them at our kids new elementary school and turns out we all live in the same neighborhood! I have been privileged to do their family photos twice now and if you hang in to the end you will see how much their girls have changed between the two sessions.

The girls are so fun (as you can see) and I have to confess that the pre-teen/teen ages are so easy to work with. There is no chasing involved at this age, which I can’t say the same about the toddlers I photograph, haha!

If you’ve stuck around until now, you have made it to the “then and now” comparison photos. I love doing these collages because it shows how much the kids have changed. If my memory serves me correctly, this is from Fall 2017 (I think) to Fall 2020 - insert shocked face here - because their oldest daughter is pretty darn close to driving now!

I hope you enjoyed this look at Mt Falcon East, and enjoyed walking down memory lane with me. If you’re ready to book Mt Falcon East, or any other location for that matter, you know where to find me: makiaimages@gmail.com

Cheers,
