Welcome to beautiful Mount Falcon East in Morrison, Colorado…I met this lovely family because they were the highest bidder for my family session package at our Elementary school’s auction. When we were planning their session, Mom told me that by the time we were going to hold their session their baby would be born and they would have 3 boys under 4; so I knew we were in for a fun ride! As you can see from the showcase image, we all had a great time!

Most sessions I start off with the entire family so we can get everyone comfortable in front of the camera. But I decided to let the oldest boys get acclimated to our surroundings with Grammy (see below), and let them see Mom and Dad posing and having a good time in front of the camera. We also decided it was a good time to get baby brother in front of the camera because he was so nice and calm.

I love that this family brought Grammy with them to help corral the kids. Grammy was right on point when their middle son escaped while I was taking photos of mom, dad, and baby brother. Grammy was prepared with her tennis shoes and scooped him right up before he could get too far away. #grammyforthewin

The P family nailed this session because they did some preparation in advance. Spending some time preparing for your session makes all the difference in how the session will go. They prepared for outfits, they set great expectations for the boys, had rewards planned for after the session, they brought in reinforcement with Grammy and it all paid off. Their images turned out beautiful and Dad commented, “Was she at the same photo session we were at, because I don’t know how she got these images?” I almost spit out my coffee, because I was laughing so hard.
