Denver Colorado Mountain Engagement Session | Mt Falcon East
I’m so excited to finally blog this Denver Mountain Engagement Session because I love shooting at new locations, and this happened to be the first time I shot at Mt. Falcon East with the lovely Emily and her fiancé Sammy. This was our second location for this session because they wanted something that screamed Colorado as both of them are avid outdoor enthusiasts. I ended up selecting this location because it has the beautiful Red Rocks Amphitheatre in the background, but also has more diversity in the landscape; plus you don’t have to work around concert traffic! That’s always a win!
Not only does the green just pop against these Red Rocks, there is also a little lake here, which I didn’t discover until the day of our session! We got lucky because it was completely empty, with no one at the water’s edge, so we had the whole place to ourselves - well, besides the rattle snakes that you always have to watch out for. (insert stunned emoji).
Soooo in love with this last shot with that water in the background. As the sun was finally going down, my good friend Jennie, who assisted me with this session, walked Emily and Sammy up a steeper pathway to get up on this huge rock and I was able to get these epic, end of session shots; one of which you can see below. This is why they say team work makes the dream work. There’s no way I could have walked Emily and Sammy up and then got the shot from below that I did. I loved the drama of the black and white, although the color is beautiful too, sometimes you need a bit of drama in your life.
Well ya’ll…Mount Falcon East for an Engagement Session is a winner in my book! It has green grasses, Red Rocks views, and a “lake”. It made my heart happy to see that Emily and Sammy had printed out tons of their engagement session photos and used them as decor at their Wedding. Brilliant!
