Once upon a time, not long ago (ok the last two years) we had to find creative ways to celebrate milestones. I don’t even need to mention the why because you know it, [C***d], but it led to drive by parties, yard signs, zoom parties, and yes, even photo shoots in lieu of parties. Last year I did more birthday photo sessions than ever, including this pretty lady. This wasn’t a milestone birthday, but after the previous year, I think we all realized that we don’t actually have to wait for traditional milestones to celebrate. We just decide we want to celebrate and we do!

We got lucky and got some gorgeous weather in April - her actual birthday month and the Highlands Ranch Mansion lawn was open (and empty to top it off). The Mansion was the perfect backdrop for Di’s dress and tiara. We really couldn’t have coordinated any better.

Her husband joined us for the session and played some chill R&B tunes and it just set the mood for us to relax, enjoy, and have fun! It made me wonder why I don’t bring my speaker with me to sessions to play some mood setting music. Oh, I remember why I don’t bring a speaker with me. It’s because if I have to remember to bring a speaker, something very important, like my camera, may get left behind at home.
