This is 30! | Highlands Ranch, Colorado Family Photography
Well I told myself I was going to blog this session a while ago - mmkay, let's be honest, I had planned to do this months ago and then life happened. So....I think today is the perfect occasion to post it, as it is Mrs. D's 30th birthday. Mrs. D was one of the first ladies I met after our move to Denver. I was so excited to connect with her through Black Girls Run Denver and we ended up being running partners on Saturday mornings for a good stretch of time. We always started our runs with a walk so we could chat before we ran! During our chats I learned that we had a ton in common, 2 littles, a passion for higher education, goals of competing in triathlons, etc...She has accomplished so much during her first 30 years it is really unbelievable. And so goes the famous saying about other moms, "I don't know how she does it."!
Anyway, enough rambling on, and time to look at images. I was so happy to get these lovelies in front of my camera in the fall. The camera loved them, and her littles were a riot to work with because the oldest is like my oldest daughter and the youngest is like my youngest daughter (a spit fire). They even had me singing a "Pete the Cat" song...I LOOOVEEE my white shoes. Unfortunately I can not carry a tune. "Anyhoo", enjoy the photos. And if you don't know what 30 looks like - This is 30 and the journey to get here is beautiful in so many ways.
Even though we got organized in poses, I loved the candid, lifestyle photos showing each boy’s personality that we ended up getting of the four of them. And finally, no family session for me is ever complete until I get some images of Mom and Dad alone.
