Eaglecrest Senior Sessions in Downtown Denver at Millennium Bridge and RiNo

As promised, I’m bringing you more Senior Session Blog Posts to give you some ideas on how to start planning your kiddo’s Senior Session. These ladies are both from Eaglecrest High School’s class of 2022 and decided to take advantage of the amazing backgrounds and edginess of Denvers’s Millennium Bridge and Denver’s RiNo district. I wanted to combine both of these sessions into one Blog Post so families can see just how unique each Senior Session could be, even if using the same locations. Some of the differences you’ll see are Season of the year, summer vs fall; outfit choices, and lighting differences because of the time of year.

We’ll get started on Ms. L’s sunrise summer session, which we kicked off at Millennium Bridge.

If you haven’t already noticed, the benefits of having a summer session is its so warm that you can wear sleeveless clothes, even at Sunrise, and the flowers are blooming and it gives a nice pop of color and a new background to the Bridge. The other thing to note about the Millennium Bridge is I typically prefer to shoot here at sunrise because this area gets a lot of foot traffic which makes keeping people (aka photo bombers) out of frames difficult during the evening hours.

Next stop: RiNo art walls. RiNo art walls are always a favorite because they are unique, colorful, thoughtful and reflect the work of a variety of artists that have been invited to show off their talent. In some cases, I didn’t capture the insta handles of each artist, but always want to give credit where credit is due.

My other Eaglecrest class of 2022 grad decided to hold her Fall Senior Session at the same two locations. We did Ms. L’s (both ladies names start with L) session right before Fall Break and because we had to do the session at Sunrise it was cold!!!

I love how L mixed it up and brought a cap and gown in her school colors with her. This allowed mom to get some images with a cap and gown months before she would actually receive her official cap and gown from school. And as an added benefit, the cap and gown provided a little warmth in the 40 degree morning weather. Brrr…

After some time at Millennium Bridge, we were off to RiNo to choose some art walls. As you can see, L chose some walls that were the same as my other Senior client, but some walls were different because they complimented her cute school girl outfit.

I hope you enjoyed seeing a contrast between two different sessions in the same location during different seasons. I’m going to try to do more of this as it allows me to share more than one session at a time and it gives you a picture of how we can make every session unique for an individual Senior.

And in case you needed another reminder, it’s time to start booking those Senior Sessions for the Class of 2023, so shoot me an email [makiaimages@gmail.com] and let’s get you on the schedule!

XOXO,

Danielle
