In October, on a gray blustery day in the #5280, as I call Denver, I met this couple that I had only corresponded with via phone and e-mail at Tivoli Brewery in Downtown Denver.  We laughed about how B (the bride) randomly found me; and after chatting on the phone, we both knew it was a match made in heaven. I loved them immediately because they decided to elope here in Denver since they were going to be in town attending the Bruno Mars concert - say what?!?!  My husband and I were going to the concert also, so check, we both like the same music!  Also, the groom and my husband share the same first name.  Score for me, because there's no way I'm going to forget his name!

B then told me they wanted to do something creative to include their love of craft beer in their wedding celebration.

Me: You mean you guys want to hang out at a brewery while I take photos of you?

Bride: Yes

Me: I always appreciate a great brewery or bar experience, so I'm in!

Bride: Great, see you then

Well, there were more details discussed than that, but it was the loveliest, most special day.  I can't say enough about how much I appreciate the intimacy of elopements and I am eternally grateful that I got to be a part B and R's special day.  You can check out the first part of our adventure at the Tivoli Brewery below.

Next up was the actual ceremony.  Our initial plan was to walk over to the Denver City and County Courthouse, but given the weather was complete "crap" that day, we decided against walking.  I was in my "Michelin" tire jacket it was so cold.  You get the picture right?  When we arrived and met their judge, she was absolutely perfect -  warm, fun, and knowledgeable.  I always try to keep my distance during the ceremony and shoot from afar, but the courtroom wasn't that big, so I could hear a lot of their vows, and I have to admit trying to photograph and blink away tears is not the easiest thing to do.

After the ceremony, as beautiful as the inside of the courthouse building is, we knew we had to get outside and do some couples portraits to commemorate this special day.  B was a trooper, because, baby it was cold outside!

I love story book endings ya'll and even though the Bruno Mars concert ended up having to be rescheduled, they still got their story book ending at the doors of the Denver City and County Building.  Thank you B and R for allowing me to join you and tell your story in photos, I loved every minute of it!
