This past summer, as events were starting to come back I had the privilege of capturing a beautiful Be Mitzvah in Greenwood Village Colorado. It was so creative because the actual ceremony was done over Zoom so that family and friends could join from anywhere in the country and then after the ceremony there was a fun in-person reception. There is so much work and preparation that goes into Be Mitzvah ceremonies, and Emma’s was perfectly tailored to her. There may have only been 6 of us present in the event hall, but as you can see, we had fun!

Once the ceremony was over, we had plenty of time for family and group photos, which I encourage families to set aside lots of time for. We had aunts, grandparents, and family friends present so it was perfect for getting updated shots of immediate and extended family. And just because this is a time for posed portraits, it doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun. See below!

And finally, the last amazing thing about this Be Mitzvah celebration was the pizza truck. It was a hit with everyone and once I was done with my work for the day, I ordered a couple of pizzas for myself and my family and they did not disappoint.
